Censuras latino-americanss

Parallel censorship, no Bloggings by boz:

Here's the story:

  1. The government shuts down radio stations that aren't fully supportive of government policies.
  2. Some radio stations try to stay open.
  3. Protesters show their support for the radio stations.
  4. Protesters and journalists are attacked.

What's amazing is this exact same story has happened in two different countries this week. To watch the governments of Honduras and Venezuela work to censor the media has been like watching a synchronized swim team.

Amusing, if it wasn't such a serious subject, is the fact that the pro-Micheletti media has been criticizing Chavez's censorship while the pro-Chavez media has been criticizing Micheletti's censorship, neither recognizing their own hypocrisy.
