UK watchdog growls at govt over climate ads

"The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority has banned the
government from re-using again in their current form two
newspaper advertisements using nursery rhymes to warn of the
dangers of climate change.

It said in the judgment posted Wednesday on its website that
claims made in the print advertisements about future increases
in extreme climate events were too categoric to be a fair
representation of the consensus scientific opinion in reports in
2007 by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change." Via Platts
